Preamble and Antiprose (1992)

Work for voice and piano by Santiago Vera-Rivera, commissioned by the renowned duo formed by Patricia Vásquez (soprano) and Elvira Savi (piano), to whom it is also dedicated.

The text corresponds to the Spanish translation of the poem "I was walking along a path overgrown with grass", by the Hindu poet Rabrindanath Tagore (Calcutta 1861 - id. 1941, Nobel Prize in Literature of 1913).

"Preamble and Antiprose" has a general time 'ad libitum', which affects its total duration and, therefore, may have variations in temporality.
